- <p> No, Norman Schwarzkopf has not just cut his own version of
- My Way. The retired general, an opera fan, went into the
- recording studio to narrate Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait for
- an upcoming album with the St. Louis Symphony. The general's
- mirth may also be due to his robust marketing potential, which
- so far has only been scratched. That's because Norman has nixed
- a slew of endorsement deals, including lucrative offers to pitch
- Japanese cameras, the American Express card and, of course, a
- line of dolls in his likeness. Norman's hardly idle, though.
- He's working away on his memoirs, which fetched a reported $5
- million.
