  17. <p>     No, Norman Schwarzkopf has not just cut his own version of
  18. My Way. The retired general, an opera fan, went into the
  19. recording studio to narrate Aaron Copland's Lincoln Portrait for
  20. an upcoming album with the St. Louis Symphony. The general's
  21. mirth may also be due to his robust marketing potential, which
  22. so far has only been scratched. That's because Norman has nixed
  23. a slew of endorsement deals, including lucrative offers to pitch
  24. Japanese cameras, the American Express card and, of course, a
  25. line of dolls in his likeness. Norman's hardly idle, though.
  26. He's working away on his memoirs, which fetched a reported $5
  27. million.
